Trendline is an iPhone app that reads Apple Health. This page covers getting Wyze readings into Health; why Health is the right destination at all is its own page.
How to turn the sync on
Wyze's support article opens with the claim that your measurements "can sync automatically to Apple Health" once you authorize it (Wyze support: How do I sync the Wyze app with Apple Health?, read July 20, 2026). The vendor's path:
In the Wyze app, tap your Wyze Scale.
Tap the gear to open Scale Settings.
Tap Authorize 3rd-Party Apps, then Apple Health.
Tap Authorize and follow the on-screen instructions.
iOS then shows the standard Health permission sheet; grant the categories you want written. "Automatic" is Wyze's word for what happens after authorization — the vendor's documentation doesn't spell out whether the app must be open at weigh-in, so this page won't claim it either way.
Twelve metrics on the scale, far fewer in Health
Wyze's measurement article lists 12 body-composition metrics the scale estimates: weight, body fat %, heart rate, muscle mass, BMI, body water %, lean body mass, bone mass, protein %, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate, and metabolic age (Wyze support: What can my Wyze Scale measure?, read July 20, 2026). Here's the honest boundary: Apple Health simply has no data type for most of that list. Protein %, visceral fat, body water %, bone mass, BMR, and metabolic age cannot land in Health no matter what any app does — they stay in the Wyze app.
Which of the 12 actually write to Health? Wyze's sync article doesn't publish a list. The Wyze app's own App Store copy names "weight, body fat percentage, water percentage, and more" as syncing with Apple Health (Wyze on the App Store, checked July 2026) — and note that even that short list overreaches, because Health has no body-water type for a water percentage to land in. Treat weight and body fat % as the types you can count on, verify the rest in your own Health app under Browse → Body Measurements, and treat everything Health can't store as app-only.
Which model do you have?
Wyze has shipped several scales — the original Wyze Scale, Scale S, Scale X, and Scale Ultra. This article is written against Wyze's general scale documentation (the sync and measurement articles above sit in the base Wyze Scale FAQ); per-model details, including the exact metric list, can vary. The Ultra in particular has its own history with Apple Health: an owner thread from November 2024 reports Ultra weigh-ins failing to reach Health, followed within days by a Wyze app update whose release note said it fixed a bug causing the Apple Health sync failure (Wyze forums: Wyze Scale Ultra — Apple Health issues). If your readings stop arriving, checking for a Wyze app update is a documented first move.
One thing Wyze does not document anywhere we can find: whether enabling the sync backfills readings taken before you authorized it. Assume it doesn't — treat authorization day as day one, and add older weigh-ins to Health by hand if you want them in the record.
Getting your data out
Wyze answers the export question directly, and the answer is yes: in the Wyze app, tap your Scale → Settings gear → Export Data, pick a range (week, month, year, or custom), and export (Wyze support: Can I export my Wyze Scale data?, read July 20, 2026 — the article was updated within the past month). The same article points out you can also export from Apple Health itself once the sync is running — which is rather the point of putting your readings there: once written, they belong to Health, not to any one vendor's app.
What lands where
| What the Wyze app writes to Apple Health | What Apple Health can store | What Trendline reads from Health |
|---|---|---|
| Not published by the vendor as an exact list — the App Store copy names weight and body fat % (plus "water percentage", which Health has no type for). Verified types only: weight, body fat % (App Store listing, July 2026). | Weight, body fat %, lean body mass, BMI, height, waist circumference | Weight, body fat %, lean body mass — with height as context. BMI and waist are not imported. |
When Trendline launches, it will also accept manual entries for the composition values Apple Health has no type for — the body water, protein, and visceral fat numbers that currently live only in the Wyze app.
Try the idea
Once your weigh-ins are flowing into Health, the raw series will wander day to day — that's variation, not a malfunctioning scale. Paste a few weeks of readings into the free weight trend calculator and compare them against a deliberately slower signal; the direction underneath is the number worth watching.
