Privacy policy
How Trendline handles information in the iOS app and on this website.
Scope
This policy applies to the Trendline iOS application and tracktrendline.app. Trendline is published by Abraham Burnett in Utah, United States.
Information the iOS app uses
With your permission, Trendline reads compatible body-weight, body-fat, and lean-body-mass samples from Apple Health. It reads height only when you request BMI context. The app also uses settings you choose, app-owned readings and clinic scans you enter, product-entitlement information supplied through Apple, and technical state necessary to operate the app.
Apple Health permission is granular and controlled by Apple. Trendline cannot determine whether access was denied or whether no matching data exists.
Apple Health actions
Trendline never writes to or deletes Health data automatically. In Apple Health mode, choosing Save for a manual measurement writes the entered body weight and optional body-fat value after Apple’s required sharing authorization. Saving or editing a clinic scan stores the scan in Trendline and attempts to write compatible body-fat and lean-mass values to Health; other scan values are not written.
Trendline can delete only Health samples that it previously wrote, after you choose Undo or confirm a scoped deletion. It never deletes samples written by a scale, another app, or another source.
How information is used
Measurements are used to organize readings, calculate deterministic trends, describe supported change, show source context, and provide the features you request. Trendline is not a medical device and does not use measurements for diagnosis, treatment, or advertising.
Storage and transfers
Imported Apple Health information is processed on your device. App-owned readings, clinic scans, and settings are stored on this iPhone and may be included in your iPhone backup. Trendline does not send that app-owned data to CloudKit or operate an iCloud sync service.
Export and sharing require your deliberate action through Apple’s system share interface. Only the information you select is prepared for sharing; the destination you choose then controls the copy it receives.
Purchases and continued stewardship
Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple. Trendline receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock features; payment-card information is not provided to Trendline. After entitlement evaluation confirms that paid access is inactive, stored measurements are not hidden or deleted, and inventory, export and sharing, app-local deletion and recovery, and deletion of Trendline-authored Health samples remain available.
This website
The website does not accept health measurements, create visitor accounts, set advertising cookies, or create a visitor profile. Free tools run locally in the browser. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process routine request information needed for security and delivery. Privacy-preserving aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics may measure page views and performance without cross-site profiling.
If you request launch updates, Trendline stores your normalized email address, confirmation and unsubscribe state and timestamps, the optional product-interest category you select, and bounded acquisition context such as the source page, campaign labels, broad device class, and country code. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the submission for abuse, Cloudflare D1 stores the subscription record, and Resend delivers the confirmation and later update emails. The request IP address may be used transiently for Turnstile and rate limiting but is not stored in the subscription table. Confirmation and unsubscribe tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes. An address is not added to the confirmed list until its confirmation link is used.
Trendline’s first-party acquisition system separately stores daily aggregate counts for eligible page views and App Store-link clicks. Those counts may be grouped by page, Trendline call-to-action label, traffic channel, bounded campaign labels supplied in the link, external referrer host, broad device class, and two-letter country code. Raw IP addresses, full referring URLs and search queries, raw user-agent strings, cookies, session or visitor identifiers, and individual event histories are not stored in that system. Raw request details are used only long enough to choose an aggregate bucket. Detailed aggregate rows are retained for up to 760 days. Apple campaign labels may then provide separate aggregate acquisition reporting subject to Apple’s privacy thresholds.
Retention and deletion
Apple Health records remain under your control in Apple Health. App-owned readings can be deleted through Trendline. Deleting a clinic scan also attempts to remove the tagged Health samples that Trendline wrote for that scan. If Health cleanup cannot be confirmed, the local scan is deleted and Trendline warns that Health may still retain those values.
Removing the app removes its local data subject to iOS behavior. Copies included in an iPhone backup remain subject to Apple’s backup and restore controls. Export before deletion if you want a separate copy.
Unconfirmed launch-update requests are deleted after 30 days. Confirmed subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. An unsubscribed address may be retained for up to 730 days as a suppression record, then deleted. You can unsubscribe through an email link or contact the privacy address below.
Disclosure
Trendline does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Apple, Cloudflare, and Resend for the limited services described above, disclosed when legally required, or transferred as part of a business reorganization subject to applicable protections.
Any service provider or related entity that receives personal information must protect it at least as strictly as this policy and Apple’s requirements.
Children and international use
Trendline is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to collect information from them. The app may be available globally in English; privacy rights differ by location and mandatory local rights remain available.
Your choices and rights
You can change Health permissions, manage app-owned information and Trendline-authored Health samples, export or share deliberately, delete, unsubscribe from email updates, or contact us about access, correction, deletion, or other applicable rights. See Privacy Choices.
